The Training of trainers in advocacy for women’s rights was held for the third time in Basel. This year the Workshop started on June 26th until June 30th. Participants from different countries and parters of Mission 21 shared during these days various topics and contents from a sustainable approach. The first day, the Workshop was about Gender Mainstreaming where participants shared good practices. Then, it continued with integral leadership in order to create sustainable activism including UN mechanisms and contextual theology.

A key component of the Training was the space for sharing local experiences and knowledge, together with songs, dances and artistic expressions.  As Elfrantin Jeaneth de Haan mentioned:

For me the Workshop was full of new information. It was really good for our work, everything they told us, especially about Anne Marie, she gave us so much information but also she put it in practical way so we are capable to do it when we come back to our places. The second thing was sharing experiences and knowledge with people from other continents. I loved to hear the experience from Latin America because they are so advanced in advocacy. I am really looking forward to come back and apply what I learnt. I also liked how Ute gave us the resources about how to do contextual theology.

We shared a video with a song and dance that Wuhua Paqaliyus from Taiwan thought us.
