1) What was your first connection with Mission 21 or Basel Mission?

The first connection with Mission 21 goes back about 10 years ago through missionaries that were sent to work at Teofilo Kisanji University in connection with The Moravian Church in Tanzania –South and South West Provinces.

2) What have been your contributions to the empowerment of women?

My contributions towards women empowerment; My work with women covers areas such as; teaching women on issues of; the role of women in the church, family and society; women’s personal Identity and self confidence; entrepreneurship, women and environment, running and supervision of personal and church projects, counseling; to name but a few. I do these activities in the Moravian Church Tanzania and other denominations as well.

3) Why do you think the empowerment of women is important in the Faith Based Organizations?

It is important because Faith Based Organization have the opportunity to reach more people from the grassroots. Therefore, the majority of women who need the empowerment are at the grassroots in every society. Faith Based organizations initiatives are more effective than other organizations because they have no biases.
