Mission 21 is part of the faith-based coalition that has come together to participate in the campaign  “16 days of activism against gender based violence”. For the second year in a row, the coalition has focused on violence against girls and young women, the campaign is themed “Girls with power, Girls with Dignity”. There is an online platform available Genderjustice-intefaith for sharing and spreading different actions that will be develop in the context of  the 16 days campaign.

Co-partners of Mission 21 have already scheduled several activities. Starting on November 25th, the International Day of Violence against Women, organizations from Chile, Peru and other countries part of CELA (Executive Committee in Latin America) will participate and /or call for marches and vigils to denounce the violence against women and femicide occurred in the continent. The activities will continue with events such as Thursday in Black, ecumenical liturgies to denounce the violence, radio discussions, etc. In Indonesia, the organizations have planned a number of activities in four main regions including talks, peace and no-violence campaigns, and Thursday in black.  Finally, in Nigeria we put an  emphasis on the kidnapped Chibok Girls, so we will not forget the extreme violence that many girls and women are still experiencing in this country.

We share some images of the several calls for action that both Organizations and Advocacy Leaders are leading in their communities.
