Mission 21 together with The Finn Church Aid- Act Alliance, Lutheran World Federation, Svenska Kyrkan Internationellt Arbete and World Council of Churches have organized the Women’s rights advocacy Training that is on-going  in Geneva since July 2th.

The main goal of the training is to increase the awareness on the crucial role that FBOs play in ensuring that religion is not manipulating to promote discrimination and justify harmful practices for women and girls and increase the effectiveness of the FBOs work by getting acquainted with UN mechanisms such as the Committee and the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW)

More than 50 participants all over the world have been gathering with UN experts. They have had an enlightening dialogue, where different experiences have been exchanged in topics such as intersection between faith and Human Rights, advocacy tools and Sexual and Reproductive rights.

Tonight, there is an important meeting with more than 10 CEDAW experts who will be able to talk and answer questions coming from the participants.
