April 14, 2016
Exactly two years ago, in the night of April 14/15 2014, 276 girls were abducted and enslaved by Boko Haram, a terrorist sect in the northeast of Nigeria. Only a few could escape, the destiny of most of the young women remains uncertain. Where are they? How many have been sold, raped, killed, or have been forced to blow themselves up in a suicide attack? We don’t know. But we will not forget the girls from Chibok! We commemorate this sad anniversary by praying for the Chibok girls, the countless kidnapped women and for the internally displaced people in northeast Nigeria.
